Rise10 Recruitment are currently supporting a dynamic and growing Group business with the appointment of a Finance Director on an interim basis.

This opportunity is open to experienced senior finance professionals seeking either a temporary PAYE assignment or an Inside IR35 contract engagement. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for shaping financial strategy, driving business performance, and providing commercial direction across a diverse Group structure.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Board and senior leadership team to deliver financial strategy, strengthen operational performance, manage risk, and support continued growth across multiple business areas.

The Role

As Finance Director, you will lead the financial strategy, planning and operations across the Group, ensuring strong governance, accurate reporting and effective financial decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Developing and implementing Group-wide financial strategies aligned with long-term business objectives
• Advising the CEO and Board on financial planning, risk management and investment decisions
• Providing commercial insight and recommendations to support business growth and performance

Financial Management

• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting across multiple business entities
• Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, tax requirements and internal policies, including HMRC CIS management
• Managing cash flow, capital allocation and working capital optimisation
• Working closely with operational teams to align financial plans with wider business objectives

Group Consolidation & Reporting

• Leading the preparation of consolidated financial statements and Group-level performance reporting
• Analysing financial performance across business units and providing actionable insight
• Managing audit processes and liaising with external auditors and regulatory stakeholders

Operational Finance & Transformation

• Monitoring financial performance across individual companies and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Implementing robust financial controls, systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Supporting business transformation through effective financial planning and reporting

Team Leadership

• Building, developing and mentoring a high-performing finance team
• Encouraging collaboration and consistency across finance functions within the Group
• Providing leadership and direction to finance teams across multiple business areas

M&A and Investment Activity

• Supporting the evaluation of potential mergers, acquisitions and investment opportunities
• Leading financial due diligence activities and supporting integration planning
• Providing commercial analysis to support strategic decisions

About You

We are looking for an experienced senior finance leader who can provide immediate impact within a complex, multi-entity environment.

You will ideally have:

• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior finance leadership roles
• Experience working within a Group, multi-entity or complex organisational structure
• A proven track record in strategic financial planning, risk management and business transformation
• Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis
• Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills
• The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
