They operate extensively in the food, manufacturing, and heavy industrial sectors and are now seeking a skilled Control Panel Wire Person to join their dynamic team. This is a key hire, offering you the chance to contribute to cutting-edge projects and innovation.

As a Control Panel Wire Person, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing backplates and wiring that directly represent the company’s high standards. You will work closely with other engineers to lay out individual backplates, ensuring the final system layout meets the company’s rigorous quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Wire backplates and door control cables according to supplied wiring schematics and data information sheets, ensuring correct cable crimps/ferrules are fitted and all wires are correctly marked with cable identification markers.
• Install mains power cables, ensuring the correct size and type of cables and cable lugs are used.
• Install power cables to components and tighten them to the specified torque setting.
• Install earth cables within the enclosure to the earth bar.
• Produce wire markers and component labels using dedicated printing machines.
• Assemble steel enclosures.
• Wire electrical components to specified drawings.
• Cut steel enclosures as per supplied drawings.

About You

• 3+ years’ experience in electrical wiring.
• Proven ability to build metal panels.
• Background in electrical engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
• Experience working in an engineering environment.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Pride in delivering high-quality work.
