The Opportunity

Rise10 Recruitment is representing a well-established manufacturing company based in Harlow, Essex, specialising in the design and build of customised automation machinery. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Documentation and Controls Design Assistant to support their engineering and production teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in automation, machine controls, and compliance within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain electrical and pneumatic control circuits for automated machinery using AutoCAD and EPLAN

• Create and maintain user manuals and technical documentation to a defined company standard

• Liaise with controls, software, and mechanical design teams to gather technical information

• Operate machinery to support documentation accuracy and assist with debugging controls and machine functionality

• Ensure technical files are complete

• Create and maintain procedure and production documentation

• Assist with day-to-day production activities as required

Skills & Experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Basic knowledge of electrical and pneumatic circuits (beneficial but not essential)

• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills – full training provided

• Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to documentation

• Good communication skills and ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines
