Electrical Design Engineer

Up to £45,000 plus overtime

Rise10 Recruitment is collaborating with a company that provides tailored industrial automation solutions, designing and implementing control systems, software, and electrical installations to optimise and modernise operations. This particular role will be focused predominantly on the food manufacturing sector, with services including system integration, control panel manufacturing, commissioning, retrofits, and upgrades to ensure reliable, scalable, and future-ready automation across a range of industrial processes.

Duties:

  • Design MCC Panels
  • Produce I/O configurations and material specifications
  • Create cable lists and electrical test sheets
  • Design cable routes
  • Write Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Make hardware modifications on-site
  • Perform electrical testing and fault finding on-site

About You:

  • Technical/Vocational diploma or degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience with Amtech, AutoCAD, Excel, and EPLAN
  • Knowledge of current electrical regulations and safety requirements
  • Familiarity with drives, PLCs, and control gear from Rockwell, Schneider, and Siemens
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK and internationally
  • Demonstrable experience in electrical design engineering within the food manufacturing industry
