Electrical Installation Engineer

Cambridgeshire (Regional Travel)

£45,000 – £55,000 Dependant on Experience

Rise10 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Control Systems Installation Engineer on behalf of a well-established business operating within the Water and Wastewater sector.

This is a hands-on role involving the installation, modification, and commissioning of LV assemblies, control panels, and associated equipment across multiple utility sites. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual who can work independently, liaise with clients, and support site teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission new LV assemblies, control panels, kiosks, and associated equipment
  • Carry out modifications and upgrades to existing control panels and electrical systems
  • Perform fault finding, testing, and troubleshooting on electrical and automation systems
  • Ensure all installations comply with current electrical regulations and site safety standards
  • Liaise with clients, site representatives, and contractors to coordinate works and resolve issues
  • Supervise team members or subcontractors when required
  • Complete all documentation, permits, and handover reports accurately and on time
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism at all times

Requirements:

  • Recognised ECS Electrical Card or equivalent (JIB / CSCS with electrical qualification)
  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience within industrial or utility electrical installations
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing ability
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

  • SSSTS certification
  • Experience supervising small teams or subcontractors
  • Previous experience within the water industry
  • Knowledge of PLC/HMI systems and instrumentation
