Rise10 Recruitment is delighted to partner with a rapidly growing, forward-thinking financial services group to recruit an experienced Insurance Account Executive. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding commercial broking team within an innovative business.

The Opportunity

This role is perfect for a proactive, commercial, and relationship-driven professional who enjoys managing a varied portfolio while winning and developing new business. You’ll take ownership of an established book of mid-market commercial clients and play a key role in the continued growth of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of mid-market commercial clients across multiple industry sectors.

  • Build strong, long-term relationships through regular contact, renewals, and strategic account reviews.

  • Conduct thorough fact-finds to understand client operations, risks, and coverage needs.

  • Present renewal strategies, market submissions, and tailored insurance programme recommendations.

  • Ensure documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered promptly.

Broking & Technical Expertise

  • Negotiate competitive terms, coverage enhancements, and risk solutions with insurers.

  • Review policy wordings, endorsements, and schedules to ensure appropriate cover.

  • Support claims handling and advocate for clients for fair outcomes.

  • Stay up to date with market trends, emerging products, and regulatory changes.

New Business Development

  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, marketing activity, and cross-selling.

  • Prepare proposals and deliver strong presentations to prospective clients.

  • Meet new business, retention, and revenue targets aligned with company goals.

Compliance & Administration

  • Maintain clear, accurate records in line with FCA regulations and internal procedures.

  • Adhere to compliance, conduct risk, and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) standards.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and team development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ commercial insurance experience, including at least 3 years as an Account Executive or Senior Account Handler.

  • Strong knowledge of mid-market commercial insurance products and the broking lifecycle.

  • Proven ability to manage relationships and deliver outstanding client service.

  • Confident negotiator with strong commercial acumen.

  • Track record of generating and converting new business.

  • Cert CII / Dip CII (or working towards) preferred.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.

  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
