Rise10 Recruitment are partnering with a leading industrial automation and control systems integrator. They design, build, and commission bespoke control panels and automation systems across manufacturing and process industries. They are seeking a Junior Controls Engineer to join their team and gain hands-on experience in panel testing, commissioning, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement PLC programs and HMI/SCADA screens
- Prepare and maintain panel documentation, FAT/SAT test records, and as-built updates
- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and on-site commissioning (SAT)
- Troubleshoot, support, and modify control panels and systems
- Assist with continuous improvement of templates, procedures, and documentation
About You
- Experience with control panel wiring, testing, and commissioning
- Able to read electrical schematics and control drawings
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and drives (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Desirable: AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN, FAT/SAT documentation experience, knowledge of instrumentation and industrial networking
