Role: Quantity Surveyor & Contracts Manager

Location: Buckinghamshire

Salary: £30,000-£40,000pa dependant on experience

About the Role

Our client is a Construction company that is entering an exciting new phase of growth, and we’re looking for a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor & Contracts Manager to join their expanding construction division.

This is a newly created role where you’ll not only oversee live projects from tender through to handover, but also play a key part in developing and implementing systems and processes that will shape the future of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and manage construction programmes.
  • Oversee procurement workflows, supplier negotiations and budget management.
  • Manage site operations, ensuring compliance with H&S and UK Building Regulations.
  • Develop and refine operational processes and quality frameworks.
  • Lead team resourcing, coordination and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee project documentation, compliance, and client handovers.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record in estimating and project management within construction.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, CDM 2015 and H&S best practices.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
  • Self-driven and solutions-focused, with the ability to set up new systems and structures.

Preferred:

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • CSCS (management level), SMSTS or equivalent H&S certification.
  • Experience with construction planning tools and document control systems.
