The Role

Our client is looking for a Solutions Designer who must of come from a Warehousing solutions background, specifically experience in pallets and racking. The role will be working closely with the Business Development and Account Management teams, reporting directly into the Sales Director.  Potentially for the right candidate there could be career development opportunities to become the Head of Department.

Duties

• This role is working on site with customers to consult and design the best solution for their storage requirements.
• Working with the Sales and Account Management teams to deliver quotes with tailored information on designs and costings.
• Technical support to the Sales and Account Management when making clients pitches.
• Producing technical drawings and providing consultative advice.
• This is a customer facing role, meaning you need to have effective communication skills.
• The role will involve a lot of travel across the UK and requires a responsible approach to time management.

Skills and experience

• You must have experience in Solutions Design using CAD or AutoCAD.
• You must have experience of pallet racking, drive in racking, fifo racking, 1D shuttle, shelving, A-frames, Cantilever and Mezzanine floors.
• Experience in creating solutions across multiple sectors such as 3PL, food & beverage, manufacturing, wholesale distribution and building merchants.
• The selected candidate will need to have an understanding of racking alterations and the potential impacts that can happen with change design.
