Depot Manager   Congleton, Cheshire Full-time, Permanent £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience Rise10 Recruitment is partnering with a leading logistics company that is seeking a highly skilled Depot Manager. This pivotal role offers the chance to lead a dynamic team, ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of the depot. This role provides a platform for professional growth, offering the chance to work in a fast-paced environment where leadership and organisational skills are paramount. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing drivers and sorting staff, ensuring route performance, handling operational issues and maintaining high service standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day depot operations, ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed on time. Manage and support a team of delivery drivers, supervisors, and admin staff. Plan, allocate, and monitor routes to maintain performance KPIs. Ensure scanning compliance, parcel handling accuracy, and correct loading/unloading procedures. Lead morning briefings and end-of-day debriefs with drivers. Resolve operational issues quickly, including route failures, customer escalations, and vehicle problems. Monitor performance, attendance, behaviour, and adherence to standards. Manage relationships with depot partners (e.g. UPS). Ensure health & safety compliance across all site activities. Maintain depot reports, logs, and performance records. Support recruitment, onboarding, and training for new drivers. Handle disciplinary issues professionally and in line with company policy.
